Boho and Scandi Balcony makeover

There is nothing better than lying in summer in the park or at the beach, but unfortunately,
this is not always possible and so it can be an advantage if you have a balcony.
If you live in a house you often have your own garden, but if you live in a city in a
rented apartment, you often only have the possibility to go out to the nearest park.
A huge advantage is if you have a balcony to spend a few beautiful evenings in the summer there.
I am very lucky to have an apartment with a balcony, even if it is very small.
Often, some people do not know how they can make the most out of their balconies.
There are so many different design options which many do not even know.
To show what you can do, I will present you a small makeover of my balcony.

My balcony is 3 sqm, the floor is concrete and the fence is white. After I first removed everything
that I had stored on the balcony in the meantime, I vacuumed and cleaned the floor.
Next, I decided which furniture I would like to have there permanently in the future.
In my case, it was a small couch made out of wood that I built myself.

I wanted to be able to lie on my balcony and not always just sit. But because my balcony
has a slightly different shape and unfortunately no right angles, I had to build a couch by
myself because I had found nothing that fits.
The advantage, is that I now have a perfectly fitting and also affordable couch.
Furthermore, I wanted a wooden trunk as a side table for drinks.
On the German website Ebay Kleinanzeigen I found a beautiful one and bought it.
For processing, I sanded the trunk and painted it with weatherproof lacquer.
For the perfect nature feeling, of course, I put plants and flowers
as well as a tree in different flower pots.
For the flower pots, I thought about a mix of zinc and rattan.
For me, the more the better, because more flowers actually no longer fit on my balcony.

After I chose the basics, I started to decorate the balcony.
I personally really like the Boho and Scandi styles,
which is why the balcony was decorated in these styles.
To cover the floor, I decided on two different rugs, one made of fabric and one made of rattan.
The two can be combined perfectly.
For the couch, I needed, of course, some pillows and blankets to lie down comfortably.
For the blanket and the large pillow, I bought a cheap inlet of synthetic material and for the exterior white bed sheets, for a clean design. The advantage of white sheets is that I have more options
for the color scheme of the small pillows and other accessories.
The small pillows I chose were in nude tones and in the boho style.
Matching to this, I bought a parasol also designed in the boho style in nude tones.
To create light accents at night, I have an outdoor light chain that I have wrapped around the fence and I also bought a few candles. Two stick candles I have attached to the fence with matching holders and another candle is in a large lantern as an eye-catcher.
